Dr. Kiana Behshid strives to provide her patients with modern dental care that is informed not only by current clinical research but also by a genuine concern for her patients’ well-being. Dedicated to providing exceptional dental care, she considers it a privilege to serve the dental needs of the residents of Bellevue and those in the greater Seattle area. Dr. Behshid completed her Doctor of Dentistry in 1997. After a short tenure as a practicing dentist in clinics in various international locations, Dr. Behshid decided to move to North America and to complete an Advanced Education in General Practice Residency as part of a postdoctoral program at Nova Southeastern University in 2003. A year later, she went on to complete an additional postdoctoral residency at York Hospital, University of Pennsylvania. She purposefully sought these postdoctoral opportunities in an effort to augment and enhance her dental skills and knowledge. Strongly believing in the importance of lifelong learning, Dr. Behshid capitalizes on every opportunity to stay informed of innovative and current dental practices. She regularly participates in the East Side Study Club – an association of dedicated dentists who share current experiences and research in their efforts to stay informed. She also is works diligently every year to complete the mandatory continuing education courses needed to maintain certification. In the current calendar year, Dr. Behshid intends to complete more than double the minimum courses required by the dental association. Having lived and served as a dentist in Seattle for almost 10 years, Dr. Behshid has acquired diverse experience in advanced dental care. She is highly trained in all aspects of dentistry, including various methods of root canal therapy, placement of dental implants, multi-fixed prosthodontics as well as full mouth reconstructions. Dr. Behshid has been recognized as “One of America’s Top Dentists” by the Consumers Research Council of America and maintains professional memberships in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Washington Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. When Dr. Behshid is not caring for patients, she loves to spend time with her family and her active little daughter. She enjoys a range of activities include hiking the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest and skiing the slopes of a nearby mountain. When indoors, she can be found sculpting and oil painting – two hobbies she has maintained since her days in dental school. Dr. Behshid has often noted that the possibilities are endless when art and aesthetics are combined with the science of dental medicine. Without doubt, when she combines her gifts as an artist with her skills as a dentist, Dr. Behshid can craft a smile that perfectly suits each patient’s face.
